Our Story

A Family Tradition Since 1963

Since 1963, our family has been hosting and serving countless meals to customers across the Monterey Peninsula and now expanding our operations to the greater San Diego Region.

Our journey began with Plaza Linda Mexican Restaurant in Carmel Valley Village, which we sold in 2005. Subsequently, in 2008, we opened at currently serve our nations Military at World Cafe DLI at The Presidio Army Base / Defense Language Institute in Monterey. Fast forward to 2021, and we have launched Urban Kitchen Hospitality, specializing in catering & events ranging from 10 to 1000 attendees. As of January 2024 we have been honored with a Food Service contract in Beautiful North County San Diego at US Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton.

Our menu is diverse and straightforward, offering a wide selection of breakfast, lunch, and dinner options. We pride ourselves on serving American, Mexican, Italian, Asian, French, Afghan cuisines, and more. Making us the perfect choice for private catering and events. Additionally, we provide various service options, including Drop Off, Buffet, or Plated, ensuring that we can meet the unique needs of each event.

In Honor & Memory of Jossie Diaz, Jennie & Dean Diaz Sr,  our Hero's. Dean Diaz Jr continues the legacy in Monterey and at Camp Pendleton.

Our team has the culinary experience to create the perfect experience for your event. We have standard menus and of course we love to customize to meet our clients needs.
